CODE3 is the data controller of the personal data collected through Teamkick.

We collect the following personal data when you use Teamkick:

3. How We Use Your Data

We process your data to:

• Provide and manage our core services: such as account creation, team management, and match scheduling.
• Display statistics and gameplay history: so you and your team can track performance over time.
• Show weather conditions post-game: by using your team's approximate location to fetch weather forecasts from our weather provider.
• Generate post-game articles using AI: we use your gameplay data to create articles with OpenAI's ChatGPT, to enhance the experience for you and your team.
• Maintain security and improve the App: we monitor for misuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve overall performance.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Our legal bases are:

• Contract performance: data required to provide the core App services (account, stats, match organization), location sharing for weather, photos of the match
• Consent: post-game article creation. If you withdraw consent, we will stop generating new articles, but previously created articles may remain visible.
• Legitimate interest: ensuring security, preventing abuse, and improving the App

You can withdraw consent at any time in the App settings or by contacting us.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only when necessary to deliver services:

• Weather provider: WeatherAPI.com receives approximate team location to return weather forecasts.
• OpenAI (USA): receives match data and stats to generate post-game articles.
  • Transfers outside the EU are protected by EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure legal safeguards.

6. Data Storage and Retention

• Data is stored on servers located in Germany.
• We keep personal data until your account is deleted, or 12 months after your last activity, whichever comes first.
• When data is deleted:
  • Names, emails, IP addresses are irreversibly anonymized.
  • Photos are permanently deleted.
  • Gameplay content is retained only as anonymized statistics (no longer linked to individuals).

7. Security

We protect your data using:

• Encrypted transmission (HTTPS)
• Secure password hashing
• Restricted access to data by authorized personnel only

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Request deletion ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict or object to certain processing
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time

10. Children's Privacy

Teamkick is designed for users aged 16 and above. If you are under 16, you must have parental consent to use the App. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising underage users.

11. Cookies and Tracking

We use a secure token stored on your device to keep you signed in for up to one year. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when necessary. If the changes are significant, we will notify you via the App or email. Continued use after the update means you accept the revised policy.
